Wipe the surface weekly or as required with a clean damp cloth, paying special attention to creases or folds where debris can accumulate. Do not saturate the bed with water. Dry with a soft cloth. Check cloth for colour fastness before using on lighter coloured leather.

Apply Ozbu leather balm with the cloth provided (they have been pre washed to ensure colour fastness). LESS IS BEST, use sparingly and rub in well using small circular motions allowing the leather to soak in all the balm before re-using.

Vacuum lightly or shake to eliminate dust and debris. If there are any marks, rub in the direction of the hair with a clean damp colourfast cloth. If required, the cowhide can be sprayed lightly with a spray protectant specifically manufactured for cowhide skins.

If the bed is dirty, use a brush to remove excess debris and sponge down with cold water, or hang somewhere and hose down (we recommend removing the inner before hosing). DO NOT USE SOAP OR DETERGENTS. Let the bed dry naturally in a place with good air circulation and no direct sunlight.

To reproof– Reproofing oils are available in a variety of stores and online for purchasing. Please make sure the product used is designed specifically for oilskin fabric and follow the manufacturers instructions for reproofing. NB new oilskin, and freshly reproofed oilskin can leave an oily residue on other fabrics if in contact, please use caution.
